Sigh....

Time really flies.. It seems like my 2 months of holidays just flew by without at the speed of light. The holidays were wasted away.. nothing productive done mostly due to my screwed up planning. Initially I planned to take special sem and work part-time but I ended up not doing anything except watching shows and sleeping.

I'll be going back to Singapore soon... haven't buy my ticket back but it'll most likely be on the first. Don't wanna go back..... I love my home here..... =(

Watched Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen yesterday. Frankly, the movie sucks. Totally over-rated by everyone. They practically focused so much on the action that the whole story just sucks. There's just too many holes in the storyline that bring downs the quality of the movie. Sure the action scenes were good but as a fan of the original transformers cartoon, I expect the machines to look more like the ones in the cartoon. ALL the decepticons practically look the same and that really spoils the movie. I rate the movie at an average 6/10.. and that's only because Megan Fox is totally owning in the movie. If it wasn't because of her, I would say it's not worth my 10 bucks at all.

Girls' Generation - Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)

Went to the dentist last Saturday and he told me that the it would be better to keep the wisdom tooth!! YAY!! NO NEED EXTRACT!! Damn relieved.. phew

I think I have this big dentist phobia. I was freaking terrified when I was waiting for my turn at the dental clinic. Was shaking the whole time. Heck, I even get scared when "dentist" comes out from my parents mouth. Don't ask me why I'm so afraid of them, I don't know.

A lot of "things" ended last week. By "things" I mean manga/anime/drama that I have been watching/reading. Eyeshield 21 (manga) finally ended after 333 episodes. The ending was a bit dissappointing. I was really hoping of a more explosive ending that would match up to the whole 332 great episodes but the it kind of left me with unsatisfied.

Yoona's Cinderella Man (Korean drama) also ended not long ago and I finished watching it last week. Only 16 episodes but it's a great show. The ending could have been better and it probably could have been delayed into a few more episodes but the beauty of short dramas is that they make you long for more after it ends. I've gotten tired of long running Hong Kong dramas because they drag the story unnecessarily. Overall, the show is pretty good. Good Actors, good story and good soundtrack.

9 End 2 Outs is another 16 episode Korean drama that I finished last week. I had to find something else to watch while waiting for Cinderella Man to be subbed so I chose 9 End 2 Outs because Yoona is in it too as a supporting actress. Chose the show because of the girl but I ended up watching for the story. One of the best dramas I've watched so far because of the meaningful story. The show touches on many questions related to love. Love over ambitions/dreams, age gap, different social status and friendship over love are the few topics touched in the show.

Recently, I've been quite hooked with anime with psychology themes. One Outs and Akagi are 2 animes that I finished last week too. One outs is about a baseball pitcher who outwits his opponents using his exceptionally calm and sharp mind while Akagi is about a genius mahjong player who is gifted with sharp gambling senses. Both animes makes you think and at times you would want to pause the show just to try and figure out about what is going through the heads of the lead characters. Not many will appreciate the complicated psychological battles in the 2 animes but they're definitely worth watching if you're interested in gambling or psychology.

Holidays ending soon.. will most probably go back to Singapore by July... UFO then final sem! Or at least if I don't fail. Pray that I don't fail anymore!

P.S : Congrats to Girls' Generation for climbing to No. 1 on online music sites with their new single "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)" on the day of release!!

Wisdom?

No wonder I'm feeling dumb nowadays, all ny wisdom has been changing into the form of a tooth =.=

GG lar, have to get that "smart" tooth extracted cause it's making it uncomfortable for me when I eat.. and I LOVE to eat =.=

Damn scared of the pain during extraction.. damn scared of the pain after extraction.. damn scared of the blood flowing out... but i think the thing I'll be most scared of is..... CAN NOT EAT PROPERLY FOR A PERIOD OF TIME AFTER EXTRACTION!! @#$@#%@%!

Wii~~

Went out for lunch with Alvin and Kev today in McDs at SS2. We had 1 hour to kill after lunch before our futsal session so we decided to go to Alvin's house in Aman Suria to chill a bit and we ended up playing Wii!

It's my first time touching a Wii and I have to say the concept of moving while playing console games is really a good one. Not only do you get to enjoy yourself, but you'll also get to do some minor hand exercises instead of just sitting down like a couch potato. The hand movements for some games are no joke wei, playing those games where it requires you to turn/shake/swing your hands as fast as possible are very very tiring to the hands. This tiring factor makes the console perfect for game addicts because no matter how addicted you are, you wont b e able to play it for long periods of time because your hands simply can continue!

After having a go at the Wii, I felt that buying a Wii is definitely much better then buying a PS3. Not only because of the healthy entertainment but it's also because the Wii is much cheaper. Too add on, Wii games can be downloaded for free online into an external hard-disk which can be connected to your Wii console. Compare that to forking out money for new original games for your PS3 and it's easy to see which console gives the better value for money!

Fading.....

Haven't been Dota-ing for quite some time now.. Surprisingly, I'm not itching all over to play anymore even after a few weeks of not playing. Some how the urge to farm, hunt and take down towers is no longer in me.

This fading feeling for something I was addicted to pretty badly for the past few years really came as a surprise for me. I always thought I would eventually stop playing because of new games taking over but that's not the case now. The passion for the game just suddenly faded....

I don't know the exact reason but it's probably the lousy quality of pub games that I've been playing for a period of time. Since I've stopped drafting, Dota hasn't really been the same. The adrenaline is just not there in public games especially when the game is too one-sided. Nowadays, it's either the win comes too easily or the other way round. It's been a long time since I experienced a well-balanced game where both sides have the opportunity to win till the last minute and it's games like those that keeps you wanting more.

Ahh.. how I miss those games....

King dethroned? Federer for Glory?

Rafael Nadal is currently the world's number 1 tennis player, the King of Clay, the player that has never lost any of his 31 consecutive matches in French Open, the player that was aiming to be the first man to win 5 consecutive French Open title, has lost in the fourth round of this year's French Open. Robin Soderling played arguably the best game of his life to cause one of the biggest upsets in Grand Slam history by beating tournament favourite, Nadal 6-2 6-7(2) 6-4 7-6(2).

I didn't manage to watch the match but it is reported that Soderling played so well that Nadal was struggling to keep up with him.

It was really an unexpected result as this is the first time Soderling has managed to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam. I was really anticipating another Federer vs Nadal finals but looks like that's not gonna happen.

With Nadal out, Federer is on course to finally win the French Open, the only Grand Slam that he hasn't won yet. Then again, another upset may happen again. Clay is after all not Federer's favourite surface and if the King of Clay can lose, who's to say that Federer won't? Needless to say, the remaining games of the tournament are gonna be interesting.

1 more sem...

Aih life sucks when you get results like mine. Results came out few days back and mine wasn't good. Then again I kind of expected I would fail at least 1 module so yeah, the expected happened! I failed a GEM that I took without thinking. Colors and Vision, I suggest those that are planning to take it to STUDY FOR IT OR RISK FAILING!

Because of this fail and the other one 2 sems back, I have to do 2 more modules before I can graduate. At first I thought of doing the 2 modules in the special sem period which is only 6 weeks but looking at the list of offered modules and considering the limited time, I opted to extend 1 more sem. Since I'm taking the whole sem, I thought I might as well take an extra module for fun.

So now I am gonna take 3 breadths next sem. I'm seriously considering Korean because I'm not giving up on the thought that I may 1 day meet Yoona =) but that's still under consideration. I may opt for other modules if there are more interesting ones up for the taking.

Oh well, 2 months to think of what to take =)
